Reincardnated is a 2-6 player strategy game based on the theme of reincarnation. In Reincardnated each player starts the game as a ‘Starter Being’ which is one of ten plants in the game. Players are then given a hidden ‘Life Purpose’ card which relays goals and being types players should try to incarnate through game play. During game play, players take turn incarnating one of 69 unique beings which create each players ‘Life Line’. By incarnating beings, players gain ‘Karma’ cards. These ‘Karma’ cards allow players to impact their own ‘Life Lines’ and their opponents such as killing/reviving beings, forcing unexpected incarnations and viewing ‘Life Purposes’ to better strategize. When a player reincarnates the ‘Human Form’, game play comes to an end. From here players reveal their unique ‘Life Purpose’ cards and add up their scores. Highest score wins. The Kickstarter/First Edition of Reincardnated by Doolittle Gaming contains a total of 69 beings which can be reincarnated, 8 of which are exclusive cards that will not be in future prints. These are Time the Cockatiel, the Swan, the Cougar, the Schnauzer, Ellie the Shichon, the Hydra, the Pando Tree and the Rodrigues Giant Tortoise. These cards were generated by generous Kickstarter backers and included as a special ‘Thank You’ to the community in helping bring this game to life. The full game contains 181 poker sized cards.
Features over 75 unique illustrations by Norwich based illustrator Charli Vince over a wide range of plants and animals including birds, insects, reptiles, amphibians, marine life and mammals that players will reincarnate.
An easy to pick up gaming experience with plenty of strategy to master. Players will use shared card drafting to incarnate different beings, while gaining Karma cards that introduce a take-that mechanic to the game. Each game is unique due to the amount of cards, so you’ll always experience a new challenge while playing.
Average of 30 minute play time, or roughly 10 minutes per player for larger groups.
