StepWise Flash Cards includes a card for EVERY NOTE in standard range of each instrument, along with 10 Rhythm cards and 8 Music Theory cards. A series of 8 activities/card games is also included to help music students learn every note, and fingerings are shown graphically so it’s easy to see exactly how to play every note. Total mastery of music reading is possible with the StepWise Flashcards! On the back of each note card, the note is shown graphically on the instrument, clearly identifying which fingers or finger placement to use. Enharmonics are also shown for every note that has accidentals (Flats or Sharps). Our cards are made from heavy, glossy card stock (110 lb), in a convenient 2.75” x 2.75” size that fits in most instrument cases. A 1” book ring is provided to keeps the cards together, but the cards can also be easily removed from the ring and laid out or organized in different sets. RHYTHM CARDS include: Whole Note, Half Note, Quarter Note, Beamed Eighth Notes, Eighth Note, Whole Rest, Half Rest, Quarter Rest, and Eighth Rest. MUSIC THEORY CARDS include: Staff, Clef, Ledger Lines, Bar Lines, Measure or Bar, Natural, Sharp, and Flat. These flash cards DO NOT include the following music theory or rhythm concepts: Key Signatures, Time Signatures, Dynamics, Tempo Markings, Articulation Markings, Repeat & Navigation Markings, Intervals, Sixteenth (or smaller) Notes & Rests, Alternative British Music Terminology.

18 Rhythm and Music Theory cards teach how pitch, rhythm, and other musical concepts are notated on the staff, so you gain a complete understanding of how to read music and perform it with correct note and rest durations.
Note Tags (little icons such as Heart, Square, Triangle, etc.) are printed on cards with the most common notes, allowing you to identify and organize essential notes into the first 5 notes, the first 12 notes, a chromatic scale, and the 6 most important major scales.
